City Boys is the BEST!!! Was driving from Orlando to New Orleans when my brake pads went out. A very kind stranger recommended City Boys, saying they'd take care of us, and they absolutely did. I had to be back to catch a flight, so they got us in immediately, even though they were clearly very busy. We hung out in their lovely air conditioned waiting room with comfy chairs, snacks, and a TV. Two hours later we were back on the road! As if this wasn't enough, the price was INCREDIBLE. Such an affordable repair (and they could have charged me anything). City Boys was a total lifesaver!! Go here and they will take care of you without a doubt.
First off, let me say that I rarely leave a negative review and try to regularly leave positive reviews as I know the impact reviews have on local businesses. Secondly, I recently had a very disappointing experience at City Boy's in High Springs. Approximately 3 months ago, we took our Nissan in for an oil change. After waiting approximately an hour, the manager told us that the bolts holding in my oil pan had been stripped at our last oil change. I find this highly unlikely as our last oil change was at a Nissan dealership. They told us they could replace the oil pan but it would be over $200 for parts and labor. We declined, and they said they would "make it work". They charged us for the oil change and sent us on our way. Everything seemed fine and we returned three months later we returned for an oil change and brake pads (they also said we needed rotors machined). We dropped the vehicle off at 7:30AM and they kept it until 5:30PM. We had to keep calling to be told they weren't finished. Got the car home and it was leaking oil and there were oil stains on the on the upholstery of the inside of the vehicle and oil smears on the outside door. Also, surprisingly, breaks seemed less responsive than prior to change. Took the car back due to the oil leak and they said they had to replace our oil pan but did not have it in stock. Had to go back two days later for oil pan replacement. They only charged us $70 for parts as a courtesy (which means when they quoted us $200 originally, there was a $130 markup for labor for a 20 minute job). Spent over $600 and was not satisfied with our experience. Overall was not impressed with the attentiveness, professionalism, or competence of the staff. Disappointing experience overall.
The only repair shop I trust. They will always do a damn good job at the best prices I can find.
Been there a few times with mixed results, but anything ever done there has been minor, like tire repair. Office staff is generally disorganized, under-manned, and not very professional. Seems to be different people there each time I've been. The actual "mechanics" are usually quite messy and also don't look very professional. Last time I was there, they got grease on my steering wheel. That was a pleasant surprise. On that visit, they re-balanced one tire that had lost a weight. Seems simple, but they didn't do it right. Took it to my normal tire shop afterwards and they found it to be way out of balance. Wasted $8 and too much time. Can't really recommend them unless you're in a pinch and don't have any other options.
Great service, been with them for a couple years
