If you don't go on a holiday weekend or during the busy season it's a lovely place to camp and explore and tube/swim. Unfortunately if you want a quiet time in nature do not come here during those times as said before. It's known as a party place and people stay up all night drunk and it's not recommended for children in my opinion. Maybe for a day trip when it's not a holiday but I will call ahead and ask before making any plans. Other than that it truly is lovely and worth the money. But with any place like this people litter because they're drunk and they also yell at you and it gets pretty crazy during holidays.
I've been coming her. Since I was young. It's something everyone needs to do. Camping and RVing is so much fun here. Going down the river is amazing. I would give this 6 stars if could.
This is a awesome place to spend the day or go camping. The park is very clean. The bathrooms are the cleanest of any campground I've been to, and I camp a couple times a month. Staff are very friendly & helpful. You can camp right on the river. The owner is on the grounds most of the time making sure everything is being taken care of. The security guards are very friendly but do make sure you are safe.
We stayed in the RV section. Sites are not marked well at all and are not angled with the flow of traffic to allow you to back in. Sites are not paved. This is a very large camp ground and attracts a lot of people for the springs, expect loud and raucous neighbors during weekends and holidays. Multiple off road vehicles driving around the roads at all times, air horns were going off all night. Gate guards are very nosey asking where your going and coming from every time you leave and come back.... just the way they speak to you makes it creepy. The springs are beautiful however, well kept and have nice stairway entrances and exits.... go during the week, leave by Thursday
This is a wonderful place to swim or scuba dive. Beware of some of the swimsuits that are worn. Not much coverage on some. There is usually a lot of people during the summer and the weekends. Not family friendly during these times. Have a great selection of rental scuba and snorkel gear.
